A lot in the plan for this year

I thought it was time for a fresh start with fresh content. While I have quite a few posts over at the old site, there were only a few posts that I thought were worthy of saving. I'm looking at the new year as a time to rethink things both online and off. Creating a more focused website was a big part of the plan. While personal blogging has always been something I enjoyed, it seems to me that it was time to step out from behind the "persona" because I want my content to be connected to me.

While my blogging will continue here, I will be writing more articles on a variety of topics that I love. It's one of the reasons that I've shifted the site to a Drupal install. I love the organization of books and want to use that to my advantage. It means I can build collections of recipes, code, art and other things, and make it much more readily available than searching through a ton of categories that I had before. I'm currently working on a new theme for the site, and that in itself is going to be the focus of a large section of coding and design.
